A child receives his or her first Matchbox Car, and it begins--man's (and woman's) lifelong love affair with the automobile. Whether it's the power, the sleekness, the size or the speed, man seems to be looking for his very own dream machine. Whether it's Steve McQueen's souped-up Ford Mustang, Dale Earnhardt's Chevy Racer, the Corvette, the classic Porsche 911, the Dodge Viper, or the Lamborghini Diablo, automobiles have the capacity to rev just about anyone's motor. The past has given us talking cars, flying cars, racing cars and classic cars, as well as fast cars, hot cars, and cool cars. What will the future's car be like? Only time, necessity, and our imagination will tell.
