New York
It's called "The Big Apple," and "The City That Never Sleeps." Officially, however, its name is "The City of New York." Founded in 1625, New York's 8.2 million residents make it the largest city in the US, a rank that it's held since 1790. With bustling traffic, towering skyscrapers, and a 24-hour subway, it's not a place for anyone looking for peace and quiet.
But there's plenty to see and do in New York Cityâ??the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Empire State Building, Wall Street, Harlem, the United Nations, hundreds of the finest restaurants in the world, and Broadway. New York City is a dream destination for every tourist and an unforgettable monument for every American patriot.
