Nicknamed "The Man in Black" (because he always wore dark clothing), he traditionally introduced himself at concerts with "Hello. I'm Johnny Cash."
His clothing may have been drab, but outlaw image was a colorful one. He never landed in prison, but he was jailed seven times for misdemeanors. During his amazing fifty-year career, Cash sold more than 90 million albums.
