Justin Bua

"Distorted urban realism" is what contemporary artist Justin Bua calls his style. Born in New York City in 1968, he's been labeled a modern-day Toulouse Lautrec and his gritty sketches and paintings portray life on the streets of the big city. In high school he supplemented his education with graffiti and performing with a break-dancing group and later honed his art skills at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. His commercial art (skateboards and CD covers) and advertising campaigns have been seen on MTV and sports video games and in his book "The Beat of Urban Art." Bua's work is available on posters and prints at posters.com -- including his most popular poster, "Piano Man II."
